The old Ping Rapture was quite good, but this new and improved version is just that---both new, and very improved. That's saying a whole lot because the old Rapture was by far the longest, best feeling, most well balanced multi-material composite driver on the market. The newer version remains multi-metal, but no longer multi material.

OVERALL

Ping Rapture V2 Driver is Ping's finest offering to date. It truly reaks of the TISI-TEC dominance of days gone by. $450.00 is a lot of dough for any club. This is one of the few that lives up to the price tag and the hype. Better yet, Ping golf clubs do tend to hold their value better than most. I am not a rich fat cat, so this club, though practically made for me is right out. If you, however, have the dough, it's truly worth it if you are seeking distance and forgiveness. As stated earlier, it's one of the very few out there that is not only long and straight, (even more so than most of the block heads), but unlike the block heads, this baby is quite workable too. Thanks to the move away from Carbon Composite, it wins top honours in the feel department as well.
